From the mouths of Babes...

Maeve has been saying some really funny things lately, and her inflection just cracks me up. she really likes to imitate me when she's in trouble (a bad sign for the future, right?) and points her finger back at me and repeats what I say ('Put your nose in the corner', 'get back in bed'). I don't think she is doing it to really annoy me, and in fact I think it's kind of funny. At least I know she is listening.

She has also started to call Finn all the little nicknames that I make up for him, with 'Chunky Boy' being the one that makes her laugh the most. I better stop saying that! This morning she told Zar 'goodbye Sweetie, see you tonight' as he was leaving for work which completely cracked him up.

Once again, I am reminded that even in the mundane, everyday parts of her life my influence as her primary care giver is AMAZING. Talk about pressure! We are definitely going to maximize this opportunity and filler her little sponge brain with knowledge and her little heart with as much joy as possible and then hope for the best. I guess that's all we can do as parents, right?

Liz, remember our story of Nate standing on the picnic table, teaching all the little kids in daycare to say "dammit" because he heard his teacher say it. Always have to worry about what they might repeat.
